Background
DR. LEONARD GORDON trained in hand surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and was an instructor in Anatomy at Stanford University.
After completing his training, he was Attending Surgeon in Microsurgery at Davies Medical Center in San Francisco, before becoming Chief of Hand Surgery in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. He held this position for twelve years before entering private practice in San Francisco.
He is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. He has written and taught extensively, both locally and nationally, and is active in providing surgical care in underserved areas of the world.
