Qualified Medical Examiner (QME)

California state law provides for the regulation and resolution of disputes concerning work-related injuries.  A Qualified Medical Examiner, or QME, is a physician (M.D., D.C., D.O., D.D.S., D.P.M., or Ph.D.) licensed in California who is certified to have met all of the requirements set forth by the California Workers' Compensation Medical Unit (CWCMU) to conduct physical examinations in accordance with its standards.
